Hi,
Just happened upon your website.  We helped the sheriff's department pick
up what is probably an abandoned horse yesterday and wondered if you might
possibly consider taking him.  It's about a 4 year old gelding, probably a
Tennessee Walking Horse type.

Hi Sheila,
I have attached pix of the horse.  If you agreed to take him, he would be
fully vaccinated, dewormed, and we have sent out a Coggins test which
should be back at the end of this week.  I believe we could deliver him as
well.  He is thin, but not the worst I have ever seen, and his feet are in
good shape.  He is only a 4 year old and in good health besides the
malnutrition, so I believe he will put on weight fairly quickly.  He is
skittish but not an idiot.Thanks very much for responding, with the current state of the horse
market I expected a big "NO!"

Hi Sheila,
T-Rex is doing great and has calmed down a bunch.  I have been brushing
him and he is learning to like being around humans, esp the feed part!
I finally spoke with the DA and he asked if you could send me an email
with all of your information, i.e. how you are classified, etc.  I am
really excited because they have never let us go this route before and I
hope to set a precedent by doing this.  He at first told me that the
statute did not allow for the adoption and I (bravely!) said that it did.
He pulled it out and, lo and behold, it did.
