2011 Buck's Page
Buck was discovered roaming near a deer camp in early October 2011. A group of amazing horsewomen managed to corral him and trailered him to HAHHR on October 5, 2011. He was seriously underweight and had what looked like a hematoma on his side.

Buck is grazing non-stop, making up for lost time. He's got a case of rain-rot in addition to the impacted sheath and hematoma.

Buck goes to the vet to have the spot on his side removed, be gelded, and have peanuts and gunk removed from his badly swollen sheath.
He is about 5 years old.
Buck spent a little time with Henry Ford, November 5, 2011.

Buck is ready for a good home! He's an energetic, green ~5 year old with lots of potential. He requires patient love and time. For example, he had never been blanketed, but with a little TLC, he accepted the blanket and learned how to stand still for it. He probably has had very little training, but he is a great horse. Not stupid and flighty, but very cautious. He will stand and let you work with him, but he is watching your every move, wanting to know if it's going to hurt him. After he sees it isn't, then he is okay with whatever we do. I wouldn't trust him with small children, but only because he is cautious.
